We are friends, neighbors, and obsessed with all things style. Gina designs unique, hand-crafted jewelry and Jennifer practices the art of wardrobe management. It was only natural that they came together to launch a blog and style shop. Cakewalk Style Shop.

Don’t judge me for saying this, but I was too young to remember the TV smash hit Dallas. I do, however, think I understand the gist of the soap sensation - big money, big hair, big affairs, and big jealously. I am happy to report Dallas is making a comeback to the small screen and not only because it’s my namesake. After the 90210, Hawaii 5-0 remakes, I guess TNT couldn’t resist hunky urban Texan cowboys… And I do mean hunky. Be still my beating heart, Jesse Metcalfe, will be starring in the remake.
The new Dallas will pick up with the Ewing offspring; J.R. Ewing’s son John Ross (Josh Henderson of Desperate Housewives), and Christopher (Jesse Metcalfe, also of Desperate Housewives) , the adopted son of Bobby and his Pam Ewing — as they clash over the family dynasty’s future. Jordana Brewster (Fast & Furious) will star as Elena, who is involved in a love triangle with Christopher and John Ross. Julie Gonzalo (Veronica Mars) will star as Christopher’s fiance Rebecca.
In addition to the original series’ mega-star, Larry Hagman as “J.R.,” Patrick Duffy (Bobby Ewing, brother of J.R.) and Linda Gray (J.R.’s wife, Sue Ellen) will reprise their roles.
Shooting is expected to start in April 2012. In Dallas. Awesome.
I love everything about this movie. The animation, narrator (John Cleese!), colors, and even the font. I love the promise of friendship. The music is brilliant. Again, Zooey Deschanel is mesmerizing.
I especially loved it that my four year old told me he wanted honey for dinner tonight. And, sap tomorrow (I think that’s from a Diego episode. He also says that Minnie Mouse is going to be his wife). I think that what I love most about Winnie the Pooh is that Christopher Robin never grows up.
It’s just SWEET.
Milo Baughman chairs (we think). Score. My designer and I found these at the coolest antique shop in the cutest pocket of a neighborhood in Houston. Reeve’s Antiques. I can’t wait to get these recovered and in my new space.
Their stuff is amazing. I would have taken so many more pics, but my phone always seems to have 10% battery left when I really need it.

If you have a chair fetish, this is the place to go.
Look what I found that you might need:

Stack of Thonet chairs. Pretend they are already recovered.

6 Edward Wormley for Drexel Chairs and Table circa 1947. $1500 for the set.

Early American circa $1890. $300. You can look, but don’t buy, please. It’s on my radar…

I’ll take the dog, too, please.
Next time, I’ll make sure to have my camera and I can share all sorts of finds…

I saw the mountain purchase post…
FYI you can not only buy a mountain - you can rent a country. I for one, would crown myself queen and change the currency to include my face. Not vain at all...just cool.
