Cowgirls and cowgirls at heart were invited to show their true wild west spirit at the 2010 Jeans and Jewels Luncheon and Style Show held on September 16, 2010. This year’s luncheon event was themed “Cowgirl Legends” and took place Sept. 16 at 10am at Shirley Acres. The annual pre-gala event was be bigger than ever this year, with new features including a live auction and live entertainment. 

Proceeds of the luncheon will benefit the programs and services of Northwest Assistance Ministries (NAM). The event grossed nearly $57,000 for NAM! This was more than double the goal, and a new record for NAM. Everything was lovely - from the food and decor, to the auction items and entertainment.  Special thanks to the wonderful and lovely co-chairs: Irene Skor and Lauren Temple, and to the fabulous honoree Kathy Stevens.

Cakewalk Style Shop was happy to help dress 7 ladies for the style show. These lovely ladies are very involved in our community in various ways; they were a joy to get to know and a joy to style! What are you doing for Fashion’s Night Out? Something fabulous, I hope! Me? Well, this is whispering my name. However, I think I will live vicariously from home. Playing catch-up. I guess checking things off my ‘to do’ list is kind of fun. Really, I’ll work on a Fashion Show for Charity we’re helping to plan for next week and I’ll work on our Style Shop. Our new site is live! Gina? Much more exciting plans. She will be celebrating in NYC, along with a whole slew of the fashionably fantastic. Actually, if you are in NY for FNO, pop in to Bendels and say ‘hi’. She’ll be showing her Charmed Circle jewelry.

Sigh. I’ll be up there in 1.5 weeks. I guess I can wait until then to have my fashion fun…
